The elementary staff at SBA truly believes that ‘every child is story yet to be told’. We believe in the personhood of the child and each child is honored because they were created in the image of God and their mind is the instrument of their education; his education does not produce his mind. Our teachers believe that Education is an Atmosphere that makes sure that the formation of proper conditions for learning are in place. They understand that Education is a Discipline because forming character requires habits performed definitely and thoughtfully. Our staff knows that Education is a Life because the mind is an organism that feasts on every area of life; thus the child should be a broad curriculum to satisfy the appetite. Finally, they believe that Education is a Science of Relations because learning for the child is an act of making connections and then applying those structures to new and novel situations.
