A Welcome from the Headmaster
I once heard a quote by Edward Joyner of Yale University that intrigued me. He said: “the development of a tree depends on where it is planted.” I think of that quote often. There is a wealth of truth about life and about children in that statement. When our son was born, my husband and I did not know a lot about raising a child but we were steadfast in our agreement that we would need a community to come alongside of us as we tried. It was important to us to find a Christian environment in which to “plant” the lives of our new family. We knew that the church we allowed our son exposure to would be important. We also knew that the school we allowed to influence and train our son would be important as well. We understood clearly that both would become a most important part of his “community.” His development, to a great extent, would depend on where he was “planted.” We found an excellent soil in SBA. We have our son in a school that has outstanding teachers who understand that authentic education is about more than just teaching to the intellect. They understand that they must love their students before they can ever attempt to lead them. I have watched as hundreds of students have developed and blossomed in the fertile soil of a community that honors them as image bearers of Christ. I believe that SBA has much to offer to your family. Some of these things include:
I invite you to visit the SBA campus. You can do so by contacting the Office of Admissions to schedule a tour. You will be able to experience for yourself the excitement that emulates from this place. To God be the Glory!
