We have several things you need to be made aware of in the next two weeks. First of all, we are providing lunch on Monday for middle school and high school due to the Christmas Tea ministry of the church. We will need about 10 students to help pass out the food for both lunches. There will be enough time to eat between lunches. The volunteers will miss Sr. talks. On that note, I will set up and then try to find an adult to help out so I can hear the Sr. talks. Please let me or Mr. Mercer know first thing Monday morning if you would like to help.
The second event is the Chambliss Home Christmas party. It will be held this coming Wednesday, Dec. 3rd. We will meet at the school at 5:00 p.m. We will return to the school around 8:00 p.m. This is a party that the Rotary club puts on every year for the children at the Chambliss Home. We take students every year to help pass out gifts and play with the kids. We can only take 30 students. Please email me if you want to go this year. If we have too many, we will limit it to the Juniors and Seniors.
Lastly, the entire school is participating in the "Share your Christmas" food drive on Dec. 10th. The Interact club is scheduled to work at the food drive from from 2:30-4:30. We will be leaving school earlier than that so we can be there by that time. You will only be able to miss this if you already have something scheduled and you bring me a note from your parents, coach, or teacher. Also, please bring in canned goods so we can take them with us to the drive.
Please email interact@silverdaleba.org with any questions.
We also had a good trip in Algiers, which is next to New Orleans, LA. We did several things from painting to cleaning brush to cutting down trees to meeting and ministering to people. Click here to see some of the pictures from the trip.
